Extreme Home Makeover

Today I did two things I have never been able to do before in my life.

1)Wash and Dry clothes at my own house! When we moved in to our current place someone let us use a washer and dryer that they would have to let sit in storage anyway. We've been using the washer the whole time but the dryer just sent there unused because we didn't have the right outlet... and it has been sitting for almost 2 years!
2) Sit at my dining room table and look out the window while I ate breakfast and lunch. We've had a table but the window was blacked by this huge air conditioner that didn't work and the table had a kinds of things loaded up on it like a TV.

What changed is that Curt's family volunteered to come over and help us get ready for the baby. Originally they were supposed to help us hook up the dryer and complete a wall in the baby's room. Once they got started however it was amazing all the stuff that was done.
*Our oven that has never worked got thrown away and we have more room!
*Our refrigerator had a lot of things stored there that we really didn't need, we got rid of it and the fridge got wiped down and pulled out and cleaned behind.
*The light fixture in the dining room that didn't work anymore got replaced and now works! *The old AC got ripped out and the windows look so nice.
*We can use our table again
*The toliet no longer constantly runs (we never worried about it because water is included where we live, I know sounds bad... we have been wasters for a few months!) Our water pressure is even better!
*We got a new toliet seat (ours was cracked, that is a different story) I tried to replace it but didn't know how to do it... it was so simple though I had to laugh at myself!
*All the dust and cobwebs are gone. There isn't a speck of dust anywhere!
*The wall is finished in the babies room (it was two windows but not it is a complete wall) I will post pictures on my website so people can see what I am talking about)
*There are baseboards in the babies room
*The window has a frame and I never knew how beautiful a window could be!

I am sure that there is even more that I am forgetting. I am just so happy and so overwhelemed with excitement. I feel like we won one of the home makeover shows. We still have work to do in the Babies room but we are well on our way because of Curt's family!

This kid is going to be fine! I mean he is so loved that before they even met him everyone wants to make this a safe and nice place to grow up. I am just so happy! I can tell both Curt and I are in a better mood to be home and we are a lot less stressed now.
