Katie Mae's Flowers

The flowers Katie sent me for my Graduation in December 2004/ Katie and Me this past summer.

Today I am going Craft shopping with Brandi. I want to participate in A month of Softies but I can't think of what exactly I want to do. The theme is "May Flowers." What the theme makes me think of is Katie Mae (my best friend since high school) because of her middle name but also because she always sends people flowers. But I don't know where to go from there. Also, I want to make something that can either be used or displayed not just made for this project and then thrown away.

I am stuck though. Maybe as we go shopping I will see something that will spark my imagination. Like I said earlier, Katie and I have been best friends since High School. We did everything together and got into all kinds of trouble together! The night of graduation she moved to Florida and has lived there every since. Since her parents and her brother live in Savannah still she comes up here every once in a while and we always try and hang out. Mostly we keep in touch with email, phone calls and text messages. Last summer she was here for about a month and we hung out everyday and it was so great.

One thing we always used to do was keep two composition notebooks that we would write to each other in and then we would switch them and respond to whatever the other person wrote. In high school teachers always thought we were wonderful students because we were always writing and taking notes (if they only knew!) When she was here last summer we did the whole notebook thing and Curt couldn't understand how we could hang out all day, talk on the phone, and then write in these notebooks.
After having her around last summer I really miss her as this summer is starting.
