Jadie July 2, 2005 I didn't take any new pictures today so I was flipping though all the pictures that we have stored on our computer and ran across this one. This was right before Jadie was still top dog.
Today was pretty normal. I am still feeling a bit sick but hopefully I will be over it soon. I don't think Lucas got sick which is a good thing. I am still have trouble with the whole nap thing! I have to catch him at the perfect time to take a nap still. Reading him his "bedtime story" only makes him stop crying while I read it to him. The second I walk out of the room he is crying.
I know what the problem is and it is something I can't control. He always has to poop around nap time and he doesn't poop every day it is every other day and then it is one poop followed shortly by another poop. The minute he poops he wants to be changed (which I can understand) so it really messes up nap time because once he is picked up he is not going back to bed! If by some chance I do get him back to bed then five minutes later he is crying because the poop has returned. If I try to entertain him and keep him awake until the second poop it never comes. It is only once I get him back to sleep and I think to myself "finally." that he wakes right back up wanting another clean diaper.
Even though the poop days don't occur every day they make it hard to have a consistent nap time. There is a lot of him falling asleep with me holding him and then putting him back in his bed. At least he doesn't wake up instantly when set in his crib anymore and if he does he just looks around like "oh my bed cool, I'm going back to sleep now" I should be thankful though that at least I don't have to deal with this at night. I can only imagine my lack of sleep then.
