Bring on the Food!

"I'm ready to taste some squash!"

Lucas' appetite grows every day. Tonight I nursed him AND then fed him two stage one jars! He had squash for the first time and a jar of apples. That is 5 oz of baby food! As soon as you set this kid in his chair and slap a bib on it he knows it is time to chow down! We see some of his biggest smiles while he is sitting in his booster chair. If you don't feed him fast enough then boy does he let you know!

Tonight I decided to stay in all day. I have a pretty nasty cold and I can tell Lucas has somewhat of one too because his crying sounds different (you know how someone's voice changes when they have a cough). I want us to be well rested for our busy day tomorrow. We are having lunch with our niece Kaliegh tomorrow at Curt's Mom's house. She is here visiting her Dad. I'm excited to see her since we haven't seen her since she moved to Tucson back at the beginning of October. Then we are going to my parents house to celebrate my brother Ted's Birthday. I'm always happy to see them as well. I used to spend my Saturday evenings at their house but for the last few months something always comes up. Hopefully I can start going back over there now especially since Lucas is a little older so he can play and interact with his cousins.

Lucas still has us confused with his sleep schedule. This past week we've been lucky if we have kept him up past 6:30 PM! He is still taking his naps and not waking up super early in the morning so maybe it is just because he can move around more and play harder. I'm not worried or anything, just a little confused. He is also back to waking up a few times a night but I can handle it. Since he is going to bed so early he wakes up at 10PM and Midnight and I am usually still awake then. I guess it is true what they say, kids keep you on your toes!
