Today we spent St. Patrick's Day at home just relaxing as a family... which is so different from how we spent our very first St. Patrick's Day (We went to River Street with my friend Jack and Rhonda (Jack's girlfriend at the time) and then went Midnight Bowling until 3AM.)
Two years ago today I was in Trinidad on my Study Abroad Trip in a gay bar (we didn't know it was until we walked in!) I remember all the guys were staring at our group and one of our guys made a comment like "oh hey those guys are checking you girls out, we'll protect you!" and not even a minute later guys started walking up and hitting on the guys in our group. All the girls died laughing and we didn't have to worry about anyone messing with us that night!
It was nice spending time as a family but next year I plan on finding Lucas a babysitter and going downtown with my friends (it is crazy how many of my out-of-town friends come back to Savannah just for St. Patty's Day Weekend!)
