Lucas finds the oddest toys
He'll hug anything
Today Lucas and I went to my parents again to help my mom sort more tax receipts. Some where in the piles of paper my Mom found this door knob hanger that lists 1001 ways to praise a child. She put it in Lucas' car seat and when it was time to go and I was belting him in he grabbed a hold of it and hugged it to his chest. Since we had no food at home we stopped at Kroger to pick up a few things at Kroger and he was still clutching it. When we were standing in line I remembered that I had the digital camera in my purse and took a picture. By this time he was more interested in the bearded man standing in line behind me so I didn't get him hugging it like he was before. He hugs our cordless phone the same way and would carry it around everywhere he goes if we let him.
When we got home I feed him his homemade sweet potatoes while Curt cut up the precooked chicken I bought home (I don't see how they can sell those things at $3.99 and make money on them!) When he was done we both sat down and had our first official family dinner at the table. Lucas was happy chewing on his chicken leg to let Curt and I both eat at the same time. (Jadie stayed under him hoping he would drop it) Every few minutes or so Lucas would remove the bone from his mouth long enough for me to give him small pieces of chicken and as soon as I pulled my fingers away from his mouth he would resume happily chewing on the chicken bone. It was so nice to all eat together that I think we are going to have to eat chicken legs at every meal.
