Lazy Sunday

Lucas and I didn't make it to church today because I just didn't get out of bed. For some reason it was just hard to get moving today. Lucas woke up with a bit of diaper rash so I spread out a blanket on the floor and let my little nudie enjoy the fresh air on his bottom. I think he thought he was getting away with something because he kept giving me this mischievous smile. I sat by him on the blanket holding a clean diaper to put on him later. He crawled right up to me and took it and "hid" it under the blanket. When he went down for a nap I took another nap.

Finally I made myself get up, shower, and get dressed around 3PM. I wanted to get over the "blah" feeling I had so Lucas and I headed over to my parents house to get his booster chair (we're going to Curt's mom's house for dinner tomorrow and will need it.) It felt so nice just to get some fresh air. When we had been there for about an hour Curt called me and asked when we would head home because he wanted to cook us dinner.

I left my parents house knowing they were having steak and potato balls for dinner and I was going home to an original Curt creation. I know this makes me the worst wife ever but I was dreading going home to dinner. My husband has a kind heart and I love him but I did not marry him for his cooking skills (now grilling is another story) He loves to mix random things together and no spice is safe (which is ironic since he hates when I try new things in the kitchen!) Knowing what we had in the house I was a little scared. I guessed it would be some sort of chicken and rice creation and I was right. It wasn't his worst he has made before. SHHHH... I did slip most of my chicken to Jadie under the table though. Hey, at least I didn't have to cook!
