This week has been pretty big. You did something that really impressed me and that truly deserves it own page in your baby book but for some reason the publishes of your baby book left it out. No you didn't count to 10 and you didn't wean yourself from your paci, or learn to tie your shoes. You didn't even learn how to pick up after yourself. This milestone is even bigger than all those other ones combined.... you brought your lazy mommy the remote when she asked for it! I thought it was pretty neat when you said Mama for the first time. Who knew that this whole motherhood thing came with such great perks.
Today we went to one of our friend's house from our playgroup. You really enjoyed playing with all the kids and usually you don't mind sharing if you can play with a toy while your friend is playing with it. You really enjoyed pushing Logan around the kitchen on a ride on toy. When it comes to things that another kid is holding and playing with however you love to snatch things. I always make you give it back and tell you that we share which never seems to bother you.
You lost all interest in the toys once you spotted a fish tank sitting on a counter. You stared at that thing for what seemed like forever saying "fiSHHH, fiSHHH." I so badly want to get you a pet fish but I am scared you would eventually try and take it out to play with it. I showed your Daddy the fish pictures and told him that one day I would like to get you a fish and his response was "well if we do I'm gluing the tank down to wherever we put the thing." I think his reaction has something to do with your recent eating habits. At dinner every night you BEG for a grown up "gee' (sippy or drink) and we eventually give in and give you a real cup with a small amount of water in it. You always take one tiny sip and then proceed to put whatever is left of your dinner into your cup. When everything is loaded up you drink the water out of the cup. It is the GROSSEST thing I've seen you do so far. Tonight was water with carrots, ground beef, mac& cheese, and part of a blueberry cereal bar. Whatever floats your boat kid.

Tonight I think your Dad realized how serious you are about your dancing. I was flipping through the channels and stopped when I saw some sort of dance competition on BET. I told you to come look that dancers were on and you came running. As soon as they started dancing you started to. You don't just bop to the music but you shake your arms and spin around and jump off the ground. Your Daddy was quite impressed and he turned to me and said "Wow, he really does love to dance! I just hope he doesn't grow up to be ...(big pause)... like Kevin Federline." (I totally thought he was going to go somewhere else with that. I doubt you will even know who that is when you get old enough to read this. Your Dad's comment made me realize that there really aren't any other current big named dancers. Who knows maybe you'll be the next Fred Astaire. It nothing else girls really like guys that can dance.
Today you finally caught the cat. You of course pulled the poor cat's tail and I was sure that the cat was going to teach you that cats do not like their tails pulled. The cat was visible upset but didn't try to scratch you. I think Jadie could tell something was up because she kept trying to get between you and the cat. Either that or she was trying to get you to play with her and pull your tail. Lately you haven't been into playing with her. Whenever she tries to come sit by you now you push her away and grunt at her. I think you see us push her down all the time so you think she isn't supposed to be near you either.

Your new thing lately is to get out blankets and either spread them out and lay on top of them or cover yourself up with them and pretend like you are going to take a nap. Your play naps usually don't last that long but you think they are hilarious. You've been into more imaginative play lately. The other morning you cooked imaginary food in your toy frying pan and gave me, Jadie, your doll, and your baby each a bite when you were all done. It was the best imaginary food I have ever had.
I really wish you would stick to playing with your own blankets though. Tonight when I noticed that you were very quiet and very missing from the living room I grabbed the camera and went to look for you. When I don't see you or hear you I know that you are up to something. When I got down the hall I noticed that the doors to where we keep the linens were open and there sitting on the floor in front of them was what looked like a little white ghost with naked toddler feet. Maybe next week your new thing will be learning how to fold laundry.

Shane just told me Lucas looks like Mr. Curt in one of the pictures. I told him its not Mr. its Uncle. But I still thought I would tell you.
