Today has been wonderful. This morning we all got up together and watched Lucas discover his Easter Bunny Goodies. He cleaned up. The Easter Bunny must know he loves Veggie Tales because he left him Cool Hand Cuke and I Love My Lips Sing Along. When he saw them he yelled "Bob! Larry!" He also got a new rubber duckie and a stuffed dog ("Duck and Jadie!") He also got a truck in a plastic egg ("ruck") a magnadoodle ("colors" since all drawing or coloring is called that), a bubble gun and a Buzz Light Year Cell phone. Last but not least he got Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Zoe and Elmo figurines (which he called all of them "Ello" for Elmo.
He loved everything but I think the bubble gun was his favorite.
Curt helped me by feeding and getting Lucas ready for church while I got myself ready. I had originally bought Lucas a really nice pair of shorts to wear to Church thinking it was going to be warm. He almost went to church in jeans (which would have been fine) but then I noticed that his first Christmas Eve outfit from when he was 5 months old was hanging up. For some reason even though they are size 3-6 months they fit him perfectly.
Church was really nice and Lucas got to play a little with some of his friends. When we got home Lucas made Curt make more bubbles and then Lucas took a LONG nap and so did I. Then I made us a BIG dinner and Curt suggested we bless the food (which took me by surprise.) The rest of the night we just ate tiny chocolate bunnies and hung out and enjoyed being together.
