This morning while Lucas was taking a bath he frantically called out "Mommy! Poop!" So I got excited and thought I would actually get him to go on the potty for once. Usually he tells us AFTER he has gone and sometimes he asks us to put him on the potty. Well I sit him on the potty and he instantly starts crying and trying to get off and yelling "Diaper!"
I can see that he is clenching his cheeks together to keep the poop in (sorry for that mental picture) and I am trying to convince him that it is okay to go on the potty. He was having NONE of it and I had to go run and get a diaper so he could go. So I'm just taking a guess that we are going to be still be buying diapers for a few more months. Oh well, at least he is starting to learn when he has to go... and it isn't like he is going to be wearing diapers forever... right?!?
