Here I Go Again

Almost two summers ago I joined Curves and lost about 13 lbs before I started to get lazy and stopped going. Since then I have put back on almost 10 of those lbs and I've gotten back into my old routine of not exercising. One of the main reasons I crapped out on going to the gym is that my gym buddy moved away and I no longer had anyone to motivate me to keep at it. Even though I have fallen off the wagon (again and again and again) I am ready to hop back on.

Today I am starting an online biggest losers competition that runs through September 23rd. On this private board I have posted my "before pictures" that I don't have the guts to post here because they just weren't pretty. Maybe one day when I have some more "after pictures" under my belt I'll be able to post them. Today I weighed in at 271.8 and just typing those numbers together makes me WANT to cry... but I refuse to waste the time and to do something about it. I am once again sharing here in hopes that this will add just one more way to keep me accountable.

I'm not going on a diet. I'm making a life style change and I am starting one day at a time. Some of my bad habits that I started changing today are:
*Eating breakfast instead of waiting until Lucas nap in the afternoon before I eat for the first time in the day (mostly out of the hassle of Lucas ALWAYS wanting to eat what I have... even if he has the SAME THING!)
*Eat fruit... I HATE fruit! Today I made myself eat 4 strawberries... I wanted to throw up. I also ate a few grapes today. Tomorrow I may eat a banana... I deserve an award.
*I will not stay up late and eat crap after everyone else goes to bed
*I will stop eating stuff that I won't let Lucas eat

You go girl!! Very proud of you and motivated by you.. I need to get my butt in shape too!.. Keep us updated on how Curves goes.. I might need to join! (okay, my butt is saying there is no "might" to it, I NEED to join!)

Just stopping in to cheer you on!
I don't know if you are familiar with this website... www.sparkpeople.com
but its a good tool. THere are message boards as well. It will calulate your BMI and how many calories you should be eating a day. You put in your goals and also enter in everything you eat and it will calculate calories. It was pretty educational for me. I didn't realize how bad cheese was for you!!
