So four years ago today Curt and I went on our first date. I would have never guessed four years ago that I would marry him 6 months later, and that we would be expecting a baby almost 4 years after we met. (I am 18 weeks and 3 days pregnant).
When we went on our first date I thought he was a nice guy, maybe a little too nice. I can still remember what he was wearing... these FUBU jeans (I thought it was so funny, I had never seen a while guy wearing FUBU), a red t-shirt, and a leather jacket. I was wearing a pair of Old Navy flare jeans (that I can't even fit my pinkie finger in now) and a white 3/4 sleeved shirt from Lerner NY&CO, and of course flip flops.
We met at like 7ish in the morning. We were supposed to go to the beach and see the sunrise but I was running later. He walked up to me and gave me a dozen roses. Then we went to the beach and had our first kiss there (LOL) He asked if he could give me a kiss. Then we went to this little place called the Sugar Shack and had coffee (the worst coffee I have ever had in my life! It was like brown water! I think that is the only time we have gone out "just for coffee") then lets see I think from there we went to Forsyth Park and walked around and sat by the fountain. (this is going to sound bad, kissed a whole lot more). Then we went to Applebees for lunch (he had fajitas, I had a chicken rollup). Then we drove by the movies, saw when "Head OVER Heels" started and went and shot a game of pool until then. We left there and went to "see" the movie. By the time the movie got out it was after 4:00. Our first date was long!!! (and he paid for everything!)
I hadn't planned on it lasting that long and I was supposed to met my friend Yolanda at 4:30 at AASU to help her with her philosophy paper. Well he offered to go and he sat there were I explained some things to her. Then we both went home. He text messaged me a few minutes later "I like you". Wow who would of thought!
