So this is the original email I got Thursday night from Curt's Grandma after he told her he had to work so we couldn't come by to have dinner with her and her poker people before they started poker...
"Hi. It just occured to me!!! Since Curtis isn't coming over to the house anymore he must be mad at me, about something!!!. Since I don't know what in the h--- I've done I surly won't apolize . Maybe when your baby gets here he will grow up!!!"
So this is what I politely replied to her thursday...
"No, he has to work. He has another side job with the guy he works with Nick. The last couple of weeks they have been working for his Boss Billy doing overtime because they are down to 2 glass workers (Curtis and Nick) and both Curtis and Nick are glad to get the overtime. He worked last week and the week before it as well. We don't mind the overtime pay at all... and while he is at work I'm going to get the brakes fixed on my car, and then set up to get his done as well. My breaks are grinding and his ABS pump is out.
Take Care, Kari V. Hunter"
and then two seconds later I added....
"I forgot to add, its just been that Saturdays aren't good to get together I guess... either Curt has been working, or we've been working on the nursery because those are the only days we can get help from Andrea or his grandpa Ken. They helped us drywall, wallpaper and frame the windows... all stuff neither of us knew how to do. So it is just a coincidence that he has had to work the weeks u have called. Last time you told me to call when we could come, and I knew he was working so that is why we didn't call.
If Curtis was mad at you he wouldn't have answered my cell phone. We have caller ID on the cell phone and he saw it was you before he answered it. I was washing dishes when it rang and asked who it was and he said "My Grandma" and he answered it. Also I don't know if you have it or not but the home number is XXX-XXXX. "
(she ALWAYS calls my cell phone and to save minutes we try to get her to call us at home... which she never does so thats what the last part is, I took it off for privacy reasons of course.
Well this is what she "nicely" replied Friday evening....
"In reference to your email. I'm sorry to learn your schedule is so full that from aprox. 3 to 5 every other sat you don't take time to eat with your Dad, Mom, me and friends. It adds up to four hours a month, but as you say you and Curt have a very busy schedule, and so it goes."
Oh the Drama! I was so pissed off when I read it. She thinks if she doesn't control the situation then Curt doesn't see his Dad and stepmom, which is UNTRUE. I'm sorry but we can't be over there just when it is convenient to her... we have 3 families to split our time with and when Curt has to work... HE HAS TO WORK and Oh I'm sorry for wanting to have a safe place for my baby to live what was I thinking? There is always something with her going on and when I first read the email the angry pregnant woman inside of me wanted to write back a nasty letter but I decided against that...
this is just her latest stunt. I know from the outside world I might seem like the bad one because it is his Grandma, BUT you just don't know the background story... there is just too much to get into but just a few of the highlights are the year she returned the Christmas present we gave her without opening telling Curt's Dad to give it back to us, or handing Curt a weight loss book as soon as he walked in the door the last time we had dinner, then trying to keep making him eat food even though he was full (hmmm).
I'm just tired of the Drama...
My Mood : Pissed Off
Now Playing : Curt is watching some kiddie cartoon lol!
