May Showers

I'm getting all excited about my baby showers. Tomorrow Curt's sister Angela is throwing me a "surprise shower," his side of the family is bad at keeping secrets. Next Saturday is Lisa's shower and that is the one I am most excited about because she seems to have been planning it since the first time she heard I was pregnant.... actually Ted and her were the first people to know. I called Lisa freaking out as soon as I took a pregnancy test and my brother Ted just happened to answer the phone, so I told him, then he gave Lisa the phone and I told him... I wasn't expecting to be pregnant, I was just taking a test to show myself that I was just feeling weird because I was getting sick, and not because I was expecting... I didn't even tell Curt I was going to take a test because I just knew it was going to be negative (just like I just knew I was having a girl!)

I told so many people before I even told Curt because he forgot he didn't have his cell phone on when he called. I finally called Nick the guy he works with and told him... then I went to Bluffton and bought baby and maternity clothes... lol! Baby pictures: Curt, Kari, and Lucas

Anyway I am excited about the shower and it will be cool to see Ted and Lisa to get to be Uncle and Aunt for once. (Everyone else on Curt's side has already been an aunt or uncle for years, and so has my sister). I am a little sad some of my friends can't make it but I understand! Lisa made a web page for an online baby shower for people who can't be there... I think it is a cute idea. Online Baby Shower
