Can Butterflies Hear?

I just took Jadie out for a potty break and while I was waiting on the porch I noticed this little guy so I ran back in and got my camera. Since I don't have a fancy digital camera I had to get pretty close to him and since he is a dark colored butterfly I had to use the flash. He just stood there flapping his wings and didn't budge until Jadie let out a bark from the yard.
