5 Days and Friends and Family

Today we took Curt's brother David and his girlfriend Ashley with us to my parents' house to go swimming. The weather was crappy but we still had fun. How could we not of had fun? We made Smores (or as Curt calls them Shmores). We also got to see Lori and her husband Tony for a little bit. (Tony heads back to Iraq tomorrow).

David and Ashley are "good people." David helped Curt put the nursery furniture together a few months ago and they are the kind of people that if you feed them they want to return the favor and feed you. Thanks for dinner last night guys! (They came over last night too to watch the new episode of Monk since David and Curt really like that show). It's nice to have another couple to hang out with.

Ashlee, one of the girls from my childbirth classes also called today. She is the one person I really wanted to become friends with since she lives near here and we are close to the same age and both having our first child (both boys). Plus our husbands seem to have hit it off. We talked for almost an hour about our swollen feet, why I forgot that I hadn't gotten a baby swing yet, and just wondering when we would have our babies. She's really sweet.

I also heard from Jack today. I've known him for 7 or 8 years. He used to live here and go to SCAD and he dated my best friend got a while which is how we became close. He moved back to Pennsylvania after he graduated three years ago. We might check in with each other once of twice a year. He was calling to check on me and Curt since he knew that we would be having the baby anytime and told me to let me know when Lucas finally arrives.
