With the way things are going with ours cars we just need to get one of those Fred Flinstone Cars and we are going to need the extra "man power!" Okay so it isn't that bad... but right now my car is sitting on the side of I-16 right in plain sight of the exit we live off of. (of course that is closer than it was when I first broke down on Chatham Parkway) Thank goodness for cellphones!!! I was able to call my Dad and Curt and they got there at the exact same time.
So for now we aren't sure what is wrong with my poor little tracker. Also Curt's car (the explorer) is starting to act up as well. We just decided today that we would park it and share the tracker until we could save the money up to get that fixed... I guess it is true... when it rains it pours!! Oh I forgot to add that Curt hasn't got his pay check for this week yet either. For some reason they weren't ready at the end of the day and his boss was no where to be found... hmmm. Curt is going up there first thing in the morning to get it. Please pray that it is there... and that it is good!!!
My Dad plans to come back over tomorrow morning to help try to figure out what is wrong with the car and he also offered to let us borrow his truck so we have a car. Please pray that it is something small and easily fixed and cheap!
I just feel awful. I am sitting here crying because I am stressed and I don't know how this will all turn out. I feel extra awful because our problems are so little compared to the miners who died and Lance who's mom is in a coma and is probably going to be taken off life support. He is 17 years old! Pray for them. He should be worried about what college he is going to go to or who he is going to take to prom... and I'm crying over our dumb cars.
We really are blessed though. We are home and we are safe. The car started to break down right near a lighted empty parking lot. Lucas who was wide awake fell asleep as soon as the engine shut off and he stayed asleep through it all. This from the kid who wakes up when the car turns off. He slept through all the noises and lights and stopping and going and stopping again and all the cars swooshing by us as we transferred him from the tracker to the explorer. He didn't make a peep until we walked safely into our front door.
