Three Grandmas, Two Grandpas, Three Aunts, Two Uncles, five cousins and one well loved kid!
"Come on Mom and break me out of this baby jail! I have Grandmas and Grandpas to collect hugs and kisses from!"
Today we had a great FAMILY DAY! Our first stop was Curt's Mom's house for lunch with his side of the family (well part of them). Lucas got to play with some of his cousins he doesn't get to see very much. Steven was really great with him talking and playing with him. Before lunch a few people fished in the pond that is behind the house. Lucas and I sat on a blanket for a while and watched. He sat up supporting himself for the longest time so far. I think he was so busy taking in everything that he forgot to fall over. After lunch we played a little Scene It and Trivial Pursuit before Lucas' great great grandparents, Aunt Sam, and cousins had to leave.
We stuck around for a little bit after everyone else and had coffee with Curt's Mom. I always love talking with her (and I'm not just saying this because I know she is one of our return readers!) usually Curt and I always end up complaining about each other to her. This isn't as bad as it might sound because instead of fighting with each other we are able to laugh about things and get another person's perspective. I guess if our major complaints with each other are a few towels on the floor, runny eggs, and a little nagging here and there then we are doing pretty good! (By the way I think all women have the nagging gene from birth... it just doesn't get activated until some major life changing event like marriage, childbirth, or the first time she sees her significant other bathed in the light of the refrigerator holding the milk carton to his lips).
Steven is a great older cousin.
Steven loved reading to Lucas
Cousins Steven, Lucas, and Kaliegh
Great Grandpa Ken teaching Kaliegh how to fish
Steven showing Kaliegh how to pick out bait
Apples, the perfect after fishing snack
Then it was off to my parents for a quick dinner to celebrate my brother Ted's birthday. My mom made all of us get together and take a last minute family photo (still wondering how that turned out). Lucas got to play with more of his cousins and his Grandma read him and Shane one of her favorite books. We couldn't have asked for a better Sunday.

Good to see pictures of all the kids--they look like they are doing well.
Ah Lucas looks like he had lots of fun today. Glad he got to see his one Girl cousin
Looks like Shane and Curt belong to the same club, the closed eyes club. The one that might have came out good was out of focus. (I'm still editing) Really we all should try and dress in what we would like and do one before Mother's day and get it framed and give it to her then. (It can't be a suprise obviously) But she would like that.
i love the pic of your mom with the boys, they seem so into the story, it brings tears to my eyes, i am sappy though!
