Back by Popular Demand

I take a break for a couple of days from updating and I get worried emails and calls asking if there is something wrong! (Which makes me feel special that so many of you check in daily with us) I have learned my lesson and will start to get back on the ball so nobody thinks Curt and I are fighting, that I am pregnant, or ran away without leaving a forwarding address :)

Things I have been doing instead of updating:

  • cleaning the shower
  • baby proofing
  • trying to feed a stubborn little baby who wants to try and feed himself but doesn't have the hand to spoon to mouth coordination down

  • playing with Lucas on the floor while Jadie is acting like a jealous sibling trying to steal the spotlight
  • discovered cold brew tea! (it brews in cold water in 3 minutes!)
  • paying bills
  • catching up on the last 6 months of magazines that I subscribe to
  • started working out
  • buying books on making homemade baby food and deciding I'm too lazy
  • trying to figure out why Lucas the stubborn baby who loved Carrots last week now hates them so much as soon as they touch his lips he starts crying like I am trying to feed him burning acid
  • what I said above but with chicken
  • wondering if now the only thing my kid will eat is fruit and biter biscuits.
  • realizing he still has had more fruit and vegetables in the last month or two then I've had in the last year or two

  • giving baths to Lucas in the tub instead of the kitchen sink because he kept trying to peek over the edge of the tub and I realized it would be a matter of time before he tried to take a head dive out of sink on to the kitchen floor
  • sleeping

  • laughing at how Lucas' favorite toys are usually the cheapest things that aren't even supposed to be toys in the first place (like his baby toothbrush)
  • becoming one of those couples that never turns on the TV and plays with their kid instead.. don't worry when the Olympics are finally over I'm sure we'll be back to ignoring our kid for really bad reality TV :)

  • listening to Lucas say "Da Da" over again and watching Curt's eyes light up each time Lucas smiles at him
  • waiting for Lucas to say "ma ma" or "stop feeding me these stupid carrots woman!"

  • feeling Lucas' gums for the teeth that still haven't surfaced
  • watching in amazement how in a matter of months our little guy has gone from a baby blob that never moved and just slept all the time to an active little booger who is all over the place even though he isn't officially crawling yet.
  • realizing in a matter of days he will already be 7 months

Hey my kids ate only bisquits tonight and you know those have no nutritional value.

I love your post by the way. What did your magazines say? What reality tv comes on NBC? My kids always like the cheap toys too, (Like empty shampoo bottles) thats why all the other toys look nice and brand new.
