Whenever I let Jadie out to "do her business" I usually sit outside on our porch with Lucas so we can get a bit of fresh air too. Today since it was a little chilly and since both of us aren't feeling out best (I think he has to do with teething and I have a cold) we just stood in the doorway. We're watching Jadie running around and sniffing everything when all of a sudden a Pepsi can comes flying in from the right and lands in our yard. As I'm not used to seeing flying Pepsi I step out of the doorway a little onto the porch and see a second flying Pepsi can.... this time I see a teenage boy turn and walk back into his door.
I let Jadie finish her business and I set Lucas down inside in his swing. At first I picked up the Pepsi can's and threw them back into the neighbors yard. Then I turned around and picked them back up and marched them to the neighbors front door. As I am setting the cans down on the porch railing the teenager opens the door and says "WHAT!"
"I would appreciate it if you would please not throw your soda cans in my yard."
Then the kid hits the cans off the railing with his hand, yells "WHATEVER!" and slams the door in my face. So I walk across the yard to get the house number to make a call to the office where I live. As I am walking back to my yard there is a "bird" in the window (and I'm not talking about the feathered kind). I come inside and call the office and when nobody answers I leave a message detailing what happened. All the while I'm getting more pissed off... I know that usually an adult comes home about 3:00... so I decide to keep a look out. About 15 minutes after the "incident" the boy leaves with his friend.
At 2:45 the Mom comes home... oh did I mention she is a police officer? She is sitting in the her car honking the horn for the boys to come out... (at first I wasn't sure if it is her or not) when they don't come out she gets out of the car to get them and I met her halfway. I politely tell her what happened and she tells me she will take care of it. When I got back inside I called the office back and this time someone answers. I tell them what happened and that I talked to the Mom and she said she will handle it. (The office person says that they have had a few complaints about the boys but the mom is really nice and they will handle their part of it.)
After talking to the mom I almost feel bad about calling the office... but we've been wondering how soda cans keep showing up in our yard... and how my car got egged a few weeks back. At least they have this on file in case anything else happens.
Yes I realize sometime in the future chances are very high that another adult will be coming to me to tell me what Lucas did.... and I thought having an infant was hard!

I DOUBT your son will ever do something like that. Kids get into trouble but being totally disrespectful to an adult and trashing somebodies yard, that is not just kids stuff. If it were me and my kid did that, I would beat the crap out of them (hypothetically speaking of course)
