Dress Shopping

Today I went dress shopping with my sister Lori, my mom, and Lori's friend April. I was able to find my Maid of Honor Dress. Since Lori's wedding is in June I had to find something in the store (since there wouldn't be time to order it) and I was glad because one of the choices was something in a reddish color and I'm not big on red at all! I really do like the dress we decided to go with: It is just a simple black dress with an empire waist.

Once I found my dress Lori tried on a few wedding veils. I offered to take pictures of her wearing them so she could see which one she liked the best. I think this one is my favorite. I couldn't believe how expensive wedding veils are!!!! It was really fun to go with Lori today. While we were shopping she mentioned that she didn't know what to do about her hair and I suggested getting Curt's sister Sam to do it. Now I think Sam is going to do Lori's hair and also the bridesmaids as well.

While Lori and I were trying dresses, shoes, and veils on my mom kept Lucas entertained. I think he was in heaven with all the walls of mirrors that were there. All the sales associates kept coming by to see his blue eyes and to smile at him. He was REALLY good especially since he would normally be napping at that time of day. Lucas dozed on the way home for about 10 minutes but refused to take a nap when we got home. He finally went to bed at 8PM (even though he was technically awake since Noon!!!) and I went to bed too! I woke up a little after 11 PM realizing I had promised Lori that I would email her the pictures of her trying on veils so now I am wide awake.

I'm glad you woke up 'cause I got to read your post!! huzzah for me!!

That dress is GORGEOUS on you, totally spectacular - your sister better watch out or you are going to get more attention than she is ;)

My friend is getting married this summer and I have to be bridesmaid, and I'll be like 6 months pregnant and big as a house *sigh* Her mom's making my dress, though, so at least that won't be expensive! And, hopefully, it'll fit!

Ahh dress shopping. I think dealing with bbs was more fun. Just kidding. I'm so glad you FINALLY found a dress. Now you can concentrate on getting ready for your trip.
