I think I am raising a brand whore. This week when we ran out of Cheerios I decided to purchase the Kroger Brand "Toasted Oats" because they were $1.50 compared to Cheerios almost $4.00. I figured "Hey Lucas will NEVER know!" Boy was I wrong. This morning I gave them to him for the first time and the second the wannabe Cheerios touched his tongue he spit them out. I thought maybe that just meant he was not hungry at the time.
I took a ziplock baggy full of the faux Cheerios with us to my parents house. While Lucas was playing in his new walker (we got it Thursday) I put a few Cheerios on his tray. I watched him to see what he would do and he picks them up, drops them on the floor... and waves Bye-bye to them!!! I have never seen him wave bye-bye in his life (he will wave Hello) and there he was waving bye-bye to the fake Cheerios and I couldn't stop laughing.

What can I say, I have a 9 month old Kid bursting with personality! Yesterday when we put him in his walker for the first time he was so excited by the new toys in front of him he put his feet down and let them touch the floor. Every few minutes he made this face like "crap how did my feet get on the floor?" and he would pull them back up into the air. Today he kept his feet touching the floor for almost the whole time he was in his walker. Quite an accomplishment for our little guy.

that was the best. WOW his is growing up, it is so fun when they start doing "tricks" like that!
Tell Lucas not to let his cousins know there is a difference. He is becoming a big boy, and he cracked me up waving at his Cheerios.
Aww!!!
For the record, though - cheaper or not - I'm on Lucas' side with this one... name brand Cheerios are a zillion times better than the other stuff. I know... in my darkest hours, I have purchased the faux Cheerios. Yuck ;)
And wow! Feet on the floor! Crazy. I still don't even like MY feet to be on the floor ^o.0. Your baby is more grown up than I am.
