Oatland Island

For today's playgroup we all met at Oatland Island. I was surprised how hot and buggy it was for March. Luckily a few smart moms brought bug spray and shared with the rest of us. The trails aren't the most stroller friendly in the world but we still had a lot of fun! The first animals we saw were the cougars.

Lucas loved looking at the chickens, geese, and the ducks, or as I like to call them, "tastie."

After Oatland Island, a few of us took the kids to lunch at this kid-friendly place named Basil's Pizza & Deli. The food was pretty good and they had a kids play room off the main dining room and it had a video monitor that we could watch and check on the kids while they played, which was VERY nice since we sat and talked long after they finished eating.
