Today is normally playgroup day but since Lucas was sick yesterday and didn't wake up until almost 11 AM we stayed home. I was starting to get a little worried that he was sleeping so late but I guess he was making up for his lost nap time from yesterday. When he woke up the kid was an eating machine and just devoured anything I would give him. Curt's brother Michael dropped by for a little while and at first Lucas was acting shy. He would hide behind my legs and wouldn't even look at his uncle. To break the ice Michael dressed up in Lucas' Tigger Costume.
Michael won Lucas over dressed up as Tigger but had to turn the costume back over to him. Before long Lucas was back to his old self and was dancing around showing off and he didn't want to take his costume off to get dressed. He ended up taking a nap dressed as Tigger. I am suddenly so excited for Halloween this year!
We spent the rest of the afternoon just talking and listening to music and watching Lucas draw pictures for us with his "colors."
After dinner I got Lucas to change clothes so that he could go outside and get some fresh air. He was very excited to go kitty hunting again.
Our poor outside cat wants nothing to do with Lucas and whenever Lucas is outside the cat spends the whole time running from him.
Jadie made sure Lucas was always in her view. If he walked away from the porch she would run after him.
Lucas ended up finding an old Easter egg somewhere in the yard and was very excited even though there was nothing inside.
After a quick sniff of a flower I carried Lucas inside kicking and screaming so he would get ready for bed. I think he is back to his old self.
