Why?

Curt never did find the tire key but he was able to patch the tire thank goodness so that temporarily solves our problem. What I want to know is why a Geo Tracker needs a lock on the wheels in the first place... is there some black market for Geo Tracker tires that we don't know about?!?! Now how do we go about getting a new tire key or even better how do we take the locks off of the tire permanently? At least Curt is in a better mood. Plus I didn't have to cook dinner tonight since we got invited to dinner with my mother-in-law!
