Wish He'd Find a New Way to Express Himself

Maybe I should change the title of my blog to "look what Lucas got into today." I'm sure a few people have been reading and thinking to themselves "wow, they must never watch their kid!" If you are one of those people, I challenge you to hang out with Lucas for a day and see just how smart and sneaky an almost 3 year old boy really can be.

I think we are going to be getting rid of all Sharpie permanent markers because no matter where we put them up or try to hid them Lucas finds them and uses them to decorate things (his legs, our TV screen, computer desk... it would be shorter to list what he has NOT colored on YET!) Today Lucas also got into my brand new mascara. He put it in his hair, on his face, on our sheets, and then closed the tube up and put it back where he found it. I guess he thought that if he put it back where he got it from we would never find out. I'll be so glad when this phase is over... This phase does end... RIGHT!?!?!

Also, in case you wanted to know THIS is a great product to use to remove waterproof mascara from faces, hands, and hair.

Colby wrote inside the toilet last week with mine. I had to toss it out. Thank GOD I saw that he had written in the toilet before I used it. GROSS!

I totally feel your pain. I truely believe they are just bored. Try making him a schedule of things to do. Like, finger painting, or reading books, or whatever, even if he doesn't really do it, it will distract him long enough so you can put away the dishes, or fold laundry or whatever you need to do. Just a thought. Hang in there, it is just a phase!!

He's so clever! He closed it and put it back! What a sneak! Ha! His adventures crack me up.

I don't know how you keep up with him and keep him occupied as much as you do. You're a great mom. Jon and I said if we ever had a kid we would just put it in a cage with some toys. I guess we're a little too used to having dogs....

Do you like the e.l.f products? I thought their prices were too good to be true and they were a scam, so I hesitated to order.

I LOVE the ELF products! I've ordered from them several times and I'm about to order them again. They just don't waste money on advertisements like the big companies do. They use word of mouth.
