Lucas Comes By His Mischievous Streak Honestly

When we went to visit my Dad for Father's Day yesterday, my mom proudly presented me with a stack of pictures from when I was a baby. If you don't have kids yet be wary of all those times your Mom says "I hope one day you have a kid just like you." You might end up with just that. It looks like I certainly did.
Yesterday when we were at Curt's Dad's house some random guy rang the doorbell. He asked us if we were missing a cute little boy with blue eyes. When I stepped outside I found a soaking wet and muddy Lucas standing in the front yard in the rain. Without us knowing he had slipped out the dog door and managed to squeeze through the wooden fence (that the tiny dogs his Grandparents have aren't even able to squeeze through.)
.
The guy said that Lucas was trying to play with his son and he had figured that we probably didn't know he was outside. The guy was just visiting family too. Thank goodness the man had seen Lucas and I arrive at Curt's Dad's house or he wouldn't have known where to return Lucas too. I'm so glad that our front door at home is too heavy for him to open. And yeah, I might have escaped a time or two when I was his age too.

I LOVE Lucas stories. He's so funny! He escaped just like a puppy would and went to play with the kid next door. I love that he squeezed out the doggie door!
