Lucas knows that his birthday is just around the corner and he is so excited!!! We get asked a million times a day if it is his birthday, and if he is going to have presents, and if his cousins are going to be there. Tonight he had a meltdown and started throwing a tantrum and screaming "I WANT MY DINOSAUR BIRTHDAY NOW!" I ended up making a birthday countdown calender with him so that every night before bad he can cross off the day and see how many sleeps there are until his birthday. I know for Lucas these next few days are going to go by sooooo slow but a tiny itty-bitty part of me wishes he could stay 2 for just a little bit longer. I'm not ready for him to be half way to six yet!
This year we are celebrating Lucas' birthday a little different. His birthday party last year was a lot of fun but there were so many people I felt like I hardly got to talk to anyone at all. This year we are going to have his dino themed birthday party with mostly family on his birthday. Then a few days later he is going to have a combined birthday party with his friend Logan at a playgroup meet-up so the boys can share birthday cake with their friends.
