Most of you know we have had problems with Curt's work... the latest were paychecks that bounced the week before Christmas. (That isn't even the tip of the iceberg but I this is supposed to be a positive post so I'm not going there!)

Today Curt started a brand new job! He is making more money, has benefits like health AND dental, more paid vacation, and paid sick days. He is also only 1 mile from work now (which will save on wear and tear on the car and on gas!) Also another perk he gets to screw over his old boss (got to love Karma)!

The reason I didn't want to say anything before is Nick, Curt's friend and co-worker got himself and Curt the new job. He had an interview at the new place and mentioned Curt since they were used to working together and running a truck together. Curt never actually met the new people or talked to them himself. I was worried he was going to get there this morning and find out that he didn't really have a new job.

Even though Nick and Curt told the old boss they were both leaving the old boss thought they were bluffing and trying to get more money from him. Curt and Nick are the only full time glass people that the old boss had. He will lose a lot of business now because he won't be able to get jobs done without Curt and Nick now. Maybe he will learn to treat his employees better next time! I'm very glad Curt has a friend like Nick to look out for him! One of the reasons he didn't change jobs sooner is because him and Nick were such good friends (that and nobody was hiring). So it all worked out in the end. Curt called me from the new glass truck with Nick by his side.

*For anybody that didn't know Curt works with glass. He does everything from mirrors, windows, building custom showers, to storefronts.

After my last post I hope nobody thought it was another kind of news! :)
