Matthew's Graduation

Matthew, our oldest nephew graduated this afternoon.
That's my brother talking during the slide show of Matthew's life so far.
His speech was awesome. We are so incredibly proud of him and his accomplishments. I know this is just the beginning.

Easter Back in the Day

Waiting for my Easter Bunny Goodies (with my mom and my sister behind me)

I actually remember this Easter because I got my first bike. Also, typical me as a child, I'm not wearing any clothes.

Today Was a Good Day

I had an awesome day (until now thanks to an eBay buyer). I'm going to start at the end. First I get an email from a buyer asking about the shipping cost... on all my auctions I have either a flat rate price OR a shipping calculator that will tell the bidders exactly what the shipping costs will be if they win the auction. Anyway... I sold this pair of Levi's jeans and this buyer emailed me complaining about the shipping. (They live all the way across the country so Priority costs a little more then it would to ship something inside of GA) Well at first I told the buyer that I stated the amount in the auction I was always upfront. So the buyer sends the paypal payment with this little message about how I am overcharging shipping and if the buyer had known that it would cost so much that they wouldn't have bid)... HMMM it is called reading!

Well I was pissed so I just refunded the total amount of money and relisted the jeans because I don't want to take the chance of this person living me bad feedback because they are too dumb to read the auction. So I am going to eat the listing fees for originally listing it AND relisting. I added the person to my blocked bidder list (meaning they can't ever buy anything from me ever again). Ok now I got all of that off my chest!

Today I had lunch at Brandi's house (she is the editor of the Calliope, AASU's Lit mag) and she is just cool. I felt so special that she invited me over! I have been needing some girl time lately! I love my hubby but sometimes "Girl's just want to have fun" lol! Anyway after that we went to Target, grabbed some Coffee (shh don't tell Curt! HA HA! He is a spaz when I drink coffee maybe once or twice a month because of the caffeine but hey I don't drink soda or tea so it is ok) and then we went to the meeting.

Brandi is just so cool because she has her own style. She is funny and smart and sarcastic and we have so much to talk about like EBAY, and bad poems, and just strange things in general. Plus she is like this super woman who juggles all this stuff (2 jobs, being a landlord, school, Calliope, and a boyfriend) that would drive me CRAZY! Oh and now I can add to that list she is a good cook. She is also the one that suggested we name out daughter Hadley... I think the name is kind of cute, but Curt is like uhhh....NO!

I love that I am still involved with the Calliope even though I graduated. I miss school so much! I miss intelligent conversation. Maybe I should look into taking some classes (not from AASU too expensive to take just one class) but maybe a continuing education class, or a community art class or something. I just need to do something to exercise my brain. Also I think it would be fun to go to some sort of pregnancy yoga class or something.

From the meeting I went to Ted and Lisa's and babysat for them so they could go to a concert. I got to make Hamburger helper for dinner! YUM! Then I came home and watched the Apprentice and ER. Then spent the rest of the time until now updating my web page and doing Ebay stuff. I need to go to bed now!

It's been a good day

Today started off not to hot. Our alarm clock has 2 separate alarms, and last night setting an alarm for me I forgot to slide the button down to two alarms... so Curt who gets up at 6:30 every morning to be at work at 7:00, woke up at 7:14 saying "what time is it??" so yeah he left in a mad dash (and honestly it was my fault)

I layed in bed until my alarm went off at 7:30 turned if off and crawled under the covers to snuggle with my dog Jadie for a few more minutes. Then I took a shower and began my day.

I don't know if anyone really realizes except for my family but my "Doctor" is actually a Nurse Midwife, and I am going to the Family Birth Center. There they do this neat thing called "Centering" which combines Childbirth classes with your monthly visits and the people in the class are all people due your same month. Which is pretty cool, I am hoping to make some friends!!! Wouldn't it be cool if I do then our babies grow up together being best friends, or getting married or something. Anyway I am just crazy about Jill, she is a great midwife!

Also you can chose to have the baby at the birth center if you want or in the hospital. At first I was 100% for the hospital but now I am leaning towards the birthing center. It is so much more personal. The rooms are like hotel rooms, nice and big and clean and the bed and shower are huge. Also you aren't confined to your bed, you get to walk around and eat whatever you want. The only thing is that they don't have epidurals but they do have other pain meds. They also have this really cool huge Bath tub where Mom's can just relax if they want, or they can even have a hydobirth! (Water birth) Curt isn't too keen on that last point but hey... when he pushes an orange out of his penis then we can talk (okay sorry to be so graphic but I think that is the equivalent of me giving birth!)

I am really excited. I still have to take that glucose test for gestational diabetes and I had the hardest time with them finding a vein to take blood. They finally went with the back of my right hand. But the best part is I have another Ultra Sound date... Feb 22, at 8:30 AM! I should be able to find out if I am having a little girl or boy!

Jumping subjects again, the classes are during the day, then they switch to nights, and I can't wait for those for Curt to go to with me. All of the other July mom's are younger then me except for 1 (who is close to my age). I think the youngest girl is 18 and I think only two of us in the group are married. Also, it is everyone's first baby except for one lady (who I actually recognized but couldn't figure out where! Then we both realized it is from her work).

Oh well I am really tired! I also cleaned the living room today and started to shampoo the carpets. Yesterday was my brother's birthday and I spent it at my parents hanging out with my Grandma doing laundry before everyone came over for dinner. We also got to see Doris which was nice (she is a friend of the family who is really like a little sister) I did 8 loads of laundry! I am getting stuff done. Also I need to post more eBay stuff as my auctions have all ended. I made $300.00.

I love Family Dinner Sundays

So last night Curt and I ended up going to grab some Mexican food, Yum! Then we went to Ted and Lisa's and talked to them for a little while. They are working on Shane's old room and getting ready to move Matthew in. Then Shane and Colby will move into Matthew's old room. Normally I will stay there until about 2 or 3am but we left a little after 12.

Today we got up and just hung out. We just watched The Village, and it was pretty good. Not at all what I expected. It started out a little slow but I think the end of it made up for it! It had some really great twists, it wasn't really a horror movie at all.

What I am most excited about is going to dinner with Curt's family. We used to do Sunday Dinner every other Sunday but haven't done it in a while. It should be Curt's mom Andrea, his Grandparents Ken and Barbara, and one of Curt's sisters Sam and her son Steven. I haven't seen Steven in a few months so I can't wait to see him! Curt's uncle Ken (who is only 6 months older then him) might be there as well.

The only bad thing is that most of them smoke. I am trying to avoid cigarette smoke as much as possible. I don't want to take any chances with my baby whatsoever. Well I should go jump in the shower and find something to wear. I'm in a good mood today! I am trying to get ready early because when we are running late Curt and I always yell at each other! We are such kids sometime! I love us though!

I'm home alone on a Sat night

So I am home again on a Saturday night like a loser! I was supposed to do something with my sister Lori, we had plans to hang out but nothing specific. She called me to ask me if I wanted to go to a Hockey Game with some people from her church. I told her I don't like hockey and didn't want to pay money to watch it and for her to call me when she was done. (They were supposed to meet at 4:30 or something) So I called her at 6:30 to see if maybe she wanted to go to dinner after she was done, and she told me she wasn't at the hockey game, she didn't go, instead she was going to dinner with one of the girl's she was going to meet up with, and that she would just talk to me later...

So does that mean I am the backup unless something better comes along? I know I know she doesn't realize she does stuff like this but whatever! I have talked to her about making an effort to hang out, and she promised she would, then she got married and Tony was leaving so I expected her to spend all her free time with him, (which I totally understand) but now we're back to this... it makes me mad! I want to be friends with my sister, you know, not just hang out cause we are related... but whatever.

Ted and Lisa (where I usually hang out on Saturday nights are at their friend's house for dinner) they told me I could come over later, but sometimes I feel like such a loser only hanging out over there along... they don't make me feel like that, I always feel welcome... but it is just hard to explain. I miss Katie that is for sure! I need some more Gal pals. Curt is hanging out with his friends tonight like always. So I am hanging out with Jadie... I love her but she is a dog. I'm hungry and there is nothing to eat, and nobody to eat with.

So I'm having a pity party for one!

At least my auctions are doing good. Oh well I am going to go call Curt maybe he'll feel sorry for me and come home. (doubt it I'm just his hormone raging pregnant wife that will cry at the drop of the hat) not his words, mine.
